Social Security Disability
Definition of Disability
The social security act provides that disability means one's inability to engage in substantial gainful activity because of a physical or mental condition which can be expected to result in death or which has lasted or can be expected to last for twelve months. Impairments will only be considered if they are severe. The severity of a particular physical or mental impairment requires that an individual not only be unable to do their previous work but that one is unable to engage in any substantial gainful work taking into account their age, education and experience.
